Description
About Us
We're a multi-disciplinary digital product agency obsessed with helping creators build lasting legacies. Since 2020, we've built products at the sweet spot where content meets commerce, empowering established creators and content-led businesses to transform their passion into sustainable success.
We’re a remote company, based in Canada, and are open to candidates between PST and EST timezones for this role. Most of our clients are located in North America.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of creativity and execution to join our team on a 6 month, full-time contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. You'll lead teams big and small ensuring we not only deliver client projects on time, per requirements and on budget but they’re shaped to leave a lasting impression on our clients and their followers. You will balance several projects at a time and help shape the development of our project/product management process as we grow. You are the glue that holds the projects together and drives the team in the right direction.
Responsibilities
- Plan, drive, and support the creation and launch of successful brand, web design & development projects.
- Lead client and internal meetings and ceremonies with confidence and strike early with concise and organized followups.
- Manage delivery plans, timelines and scope. Forecast project resources, groom project financials and plan sprints with the other leaders on your team.
- Proactively identify, communicate and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle setting clear expectations and outcomes with our clients.
- Ensure all disciplines within the team (design, engineering, marketing) are tracking towards our desired outcomes - challenge and support the project team to ensure our deliverables always meet our expectations for quality and polish.
- Manage the team’s tasks, reviewing project needs and communicate plans and milestones for upcoming weeks.
- Lead client communications and engagement with regular updates about milestones, progress, and risks always addressing concerns promptly.
- Support the business development function by scoping new projects and participating in sales calls as needed.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to improve our internal processes and tools.
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years experience as a Project Manager or Product Manager in a digital agency.
- In-depth understanding of the processes and lifecycle for UX/UI design, branding, and web development engagements
- A "get things done" attitude — we are a small and resourceful team, so the ideal candidate will embrace that environment.
- Inclusive and empathetic — you advocate for the things that will help your teammates, and continuously bring the team together so they are able to do their best work.
- Proactiveness — you communicate risks up-front and with ease and assess project needs.
- Exceptional communication skills, both in meetings and written. We’re fully remote so asynchronous communication is important and Project Managers must lead by example.
- Comfortable leading difficult stakeholder conversations, navigating roadblocks, and proposing paths forward.
- Ability to scope and estimate projects and timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and tendency to push your team to improve their work — you sweat the small stuff.
- Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, “wagile”)
- Aptitude for learning new tools and utilizing AI to increase our impact and efficiency.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working in online platforms like Webflow, Shopify, etc.
- Knowledge and interest of the creator and learner economy.
- Experience working in Notion, Linear, Figma, and comfortable recording Looms
Compensation and benefits
- Extended health benefits for Canadian employees
- Flexible working hours and a remote-friendly culture
- Flexible time-off allowance for vacation, sick days, and personal time as needed. We actively encourage team members to make use of this time-off policy
- The opportunity to work with well-known creators and brands, including Esther Perel, Colin & Samir, Shan Boodram, and Sophia Amoruso
As an organization headquartered in British Columbia, we’re required to post the salary range if the position to be filled locally. This range may be higher or lower for candidates based outside of BC, and actual pay will take into account the candidate’s experience and competencies.
Compensation
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
